About Bell Mock Tests

Practice built the way the
Prelims is actually graded.

Bell Mock Tests is an independent practice platform for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary exam — built around one idea: the closer your practice matches the real exam's rules, the more useful it is.

1,800 Questions in the bank
150 Sessions, both papers
10k+ Aspirants practising

Why we built this

Most practice platforms score you differently than the exam does.

Prelims aspirants spend months preparing, but a lot of practice material either skips negative marking entirely or applies it loosely — so a “good score” in practice doesn't tell you much about how you'd actually do on exam day.

Bell Mock Tests exists to close that gap. Every session runs on the same +2/−0.66 (GS) and +2.5/−0.83 (CSAT) marking the real Prelims uses, on a strict 3-minute timer per 10-question session — so your score means what it says.

We also didn't want practice to become a memory exercise. Every retake pulls a fresh set of 10 questions from a larger pool and reshuffles both the questions and the answer options, so going back to a session you've already done still tests what you know — not what you remember from last time.

GS Paper - 8 attempted, 6 correct, 2 wrong

6 correct × 2.00 12.00
2 wrong × 0.66 -1.32
Score 10.68

CSAT Paper - 8 attempted, 6 correct, 2 wrong

6 correct × 2.50 15.00
2 wrong × 0.83 -1.66
Score 13.34

What we care about

A few principles that shape every decision on the platform, not just the marketing copy.

Exam-accurate marking

The same negative marking and timing as the real Prelims — not a simplified approximation.

Privacy by default

Your rank is yours. The leaderboard shows anonymous IDs only — never a name, email, or photo.

Built for retakes

Questions and options reshuffle every attempt, so practising a session twice still means something.

Transparent pricing

GS and CSAT are priced and sold separately, clearly, with no bundling tricks or hidden unlocks.

User guidelines & how we handle your data

The rules we ask you to follow, and the commitments we make to you in return.

User guidelines

  • One account per person — don't share your login or let someone else practice under your account.
  • Sessions are for personal exam preparation only. No bots, scripts, or automated attempts.
  • The leaderboard reflects genuine attempts — don't try to game or artificially inflate your score.
  • Don't scrape, copy, or redistribute the question bank or explanations.
  • Report a wrong question or answer key through official support.

How we handle your data

  • We collect only what's needed to run your account: name, email and photo from Google sign-in, plus scores and progress.
  • We never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing or advertising.
  • Payments are handled directly by Razorpay. Bell Mock Tests never sees or stores card or bank details.
  • Other leaderboard users see only an anonymous ID — never your name, email, or photo.

If something goes wrong

  • If a data breach affects your account, we will notify you by email as soon as reasonably possible.
  • We'll explain what happened, what data was involved, and the steps we're taking to fix it.
  • We handle any breach in line with applicable Indian data protection law.
Not an official UPSC product

Bell Mock Tests is an independent practice platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Union Public Service Commission in any way. Questions are original — written to the official syllabus and inspired by the pattern of past papers, never reproduced from any official paper.

How to Use BELL’s UPSC Prelims Practice Tests?

This platform acts as an online space to practice Prelims tests and is not intended to function as an educational or coaching platform. The platform should be used to improve test-taking ability by assessing and answering each question within the given time frame. Doing so helps candidates understand how their approach has affected their results, as scores are evaluated using the same marking method as the actual UPSC Prelims examination.

This platform is created by our team with reference to the UPSC syllabus and previous-year questions (PYQs). However, the questions are simply inspired by these sources and are not exact copies of UPSC question papers.

Any issue with the platform, or any flaw in the questions or answers, can be reported to us. This feedback will help us improve the platform for future candidates.

BELL Mock Tests is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with UPSC.

More About BELL’s UPSC Prelims Mock Test

We help you explore your test-taking ability, but we do not help you fix it. This practice test platform is a tool to score yourself and compare your score with other BELL users.
