UPSC PRELIMS 2027 UPDATE - 06/10/2026

There are no new changes to the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2027 schedule or format as of today, October 6, 2026. The exam is firmly on track for May 23, 2027, with official applications opening on January 13, 2027. While the civil services timeline is quiet today, it’s a busy day elsewhere in the UPSC ecosystem as applications wrap up for the Engineering Services Exam (ESE). For your daily current affairs prep, today's highyield headlines center on three major developments: the Supreme Court clarifying post-retirement immunity boundaries for the Chief Election Commissioner, India and Switzerland deepening their ties across clean transit and migration, and the National Supercomputing Mission hitting a milestone by deploying 40 indigenous systems.
